Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway
Chester, CheshireAbout Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway
Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway is fun for all the family. Miniature train rides set in the beautiful surroundings of Chester's Grosvenor Park. Only a few minute's walk from the city centre.
The railway runs Diesel and occasionally Steam trains around a quarter mile circuit, over the long wooden viaduct, round the pond full of Ducks, Moorhens and a large white Goose. Through the trees passing tame squirrels, along the back straight and round the bend into a small station full of your favourite Thomas The Tank souvenirs.
Their new additions include an electric Thomas, and the exciting Drive Your Own Trevor Tram, fantastic for kids who are just dying to get behind the wheel!
Plus, The new play area adjacent to the track is finished and open to the public. It is really good and lots of people are using it with plenty to do for all ages up to about 14 years old. The pond area has been re-landscaped with new disabled accessible pathways, soft edges and new planting. The new visitor centre and toilets are now finished and should be open shortly as well as the new cafe which will be situated in the lodge by the main gates.
Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park, there are plenty of wide open spaces to enjoy it in and colourful flowers all over! A nicer spot for lunch is hard to find when the sun is shining!
