On the hunt for some egg-cellent Easter events and fun? We gave you the best things to do this Easter and now we have something else for you - the ultimate guide to the best Easter egg hunts near you in 2018, packed full of chocolatey treats and adventures. From dragon eggs and special meerkat hunts, to egg drop challenges and Easter bunnies, where will the hunt take you this year?

  1. Easter Adventure Quests, English Heritage sites, nationwide

    Forget hunting for chocolate, valiant adventurers at English Heritage sites this Easter will be searching high and low for legendary dragon eggs, which could make this the most dangerous Easter egg hunt in 2018. Hatch your plan and crack the clues alongside intrepid characters from the past. Victorious kids can claim their chocolate reward too, providing a perfect Easter adventure for the whole family.

  2. The World of Beatrix Potter, Cumbria

    Hop to it this Easter, with a mini egg hunt in the Peter Rabbit Garden at The World of Beatrix Potter. On 1st and 2nd April, kids will be able to explore the themed garden in search of treats, with chocolate and stickers ready and waiting to be won. Plus, it’s a great place to explore the character behind the egg-citing new film!

  3. Hampton Court Palace, Surrey

    What better way to explore the stunning house and gardens of Hampton Court Palace, than in search of some very special Easter bunnies? Kids will need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed to find all the hidden Lindt gold bunnies, which have made the palace their home from 26th March to 15th Find them all and claim your egg-stremely tasty Lindt chocolate treat (good luck getting them to share…)

  4. Chatsworth House, Derbyshire

    Step right up for a ride on the Easter Eggspress and get ready to put all your eggs in one basket, as Easter fun comes to Chatsworth House. The popular egg hunts will have kids exploring every corner of the estate, whilst the Eggspress trailer rides are a great way to see even more. Taking place from 24th March – 8th April, there’s loads more Easter activities to try too.

  5. Stockeld Park, West Yorkshire

    Head to the home of adventure and become an Easter Eggsplorer at Stockeld Park! Using your special event map, all the eggs on the hunt are in the form of a famous explorer from the past, making this so much more than just a hunt for chocolate. The egg-stra special adventure is perfect for the holidays, and be sure to keep a look out for giant character eggs, including a Humpty and a Pirate Chief!

  6. Avon Valley Adventure Wildlife Park, Bristol

    Looking for an egg-ceptional Easter day out in the South West? There are loads of prizes up for grabs in more egg-themed games than you could possibly imagine at Avon Valley Adventure Wildlife Park. Decorate an egg to hang on the Easter tree, follow an egg trail around the park or try your hand at the Avon Valley Egg Drop Challenge – will yours survive the drop or will you (and your egg) crack under the pressure? Keep an eye out for the Golden Eggs on your hunt too – they could win you a large chocolate egg and a FREE return visit.

  7. Lee Valley Park Farms, Essex

    Think your kids can outsmart the Easter bunny and master the egg hunt? Head to Lee Valley Park Farms for farmyard fun this Easter and let the kids scramble around in search of special eggs. Plus, with a baby animal boom on the farm too, there are lots of cute new arrivals to spot too.

  8. Leeds Castle, Kent

    Where better to go on an egg hunt than around the stunning grounds of Leeds Castle? Crack the clues hidden around the castle, answer the questions and reap the rewards – which are in chocolate form of course! The egg-stra special quest runs from 30th March to 15th April.

  9. The Big Sheep, Devon

    The Easter bunny has definitely been busy in Devon this Easter, hiding a whopping 30,000 chocolate eggs around The Big Sheep. With a special area for toddlers to find their own little eggs and a hunt that will have you scouring everywhere from the Ewetopia indoor playground, to the blanket of daffodils all across the site. It’s a real Easter Eggstravaganza from 30th March – 15th April.

  10. Hatton Adventure World, Warwickshire

    Head to Hatton Adventure World for its Spring Spectacular, celebrating the best of the new season this Easter. There are yummy prizes to be won in the Easter Egg Hunt, but after putting your kids detective skills to the test, make sure you visit the new arrivals marquee to find some adorable newborn ducks, bunnies, piglets and lambs. Plus, with the famous Hatton Sheepstakes returning too, it’s the perfect Easter day out.

  11. Beamish Open Air Museum, County Durham

    A visit to Beamish Open Air Museum is egg-sactly where you should head this Easter, with lots of activities taking place from 30th March to 2nd Travel back in time to find out how Easter was celebrated in the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s, take part in the Easter egg trail and be sure to stop off at Herron’s Bakery to buy a delicious hot cross bun – yum!

  12. Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, Bristol

    The only thing you need to know about Easter at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is that there’s an Easter egg hunt for the meerkats – and no, we’re not ‘yolking’. Eggfest features all the usual fun of an egg hunt for kids, plus the chance to decorate eggs especially for the meerkats, then watch in delight as they scramble through their enclosure looking for them! There’s also the chance to take part in giant egg rolling down Rhino Hill – all taking place from 24th March – 14th April.

  13. Pink Pig Farm, Lincolnshire

    Head to Pink Pig Farm for the Mad Hatters Easter Egg-Straviganzer, where madness and mayhem mean a whole heap of fun! There are free Creme eggs for all the kids, plus a special visit from The Queen of Hearts, all in addition to the main egg hunt. Running from 24th March until 15th April, the kids will all be egg-shausted after a busy day on the farm.

  14. Odds Farm Park, Buckinghamshire

    How many scavenger hunts include seeing baby lambs, goats and more, plus the promise of a special treat at the end? That’s egg-sactly what’s in store at Odds Farm Park this Easter! Taking you all around the farm, it’s the ideal way to spend a day out during the school holidays.

  15. Cadbury National Trust Easter Egg Hunts, nationwide

    Chocolate and Easter go hand in hand, so our list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the most choc-tastic Easter egg hunts in the UK this year.
