Founded in 1683,The Ashmolean Museum is Britain's first public museum and home to the University of Oxford's world class collections of art and archaeology.
There is so much to discover, from paintings and statues, to ancient Egyptian mummies and samurai warriors. To help you search the galleries, there is always a range of family gallery trails available at the information desk to capture the kids' interest. They have separate ones for younger and older children to present an appropriate challenge.
We offer a programme of regular family friendly drop-ins where you can come and get arty and make something to take home. Special drop ins for under 5s are also available.
Monday to Sunday 10:00 – 17:00
Open until 20:00 on the last Friday of the month (except December)
