Abbey Meadow Open Air Swimming Pool
Abingdon, OxfordshireAbout Abbey Meadow Open Air Swimming Pool
The Abbey Meadow Lido is a heated 40m outdoor pool situated in scenic surrounds on the bank of the river Thames, accessible by boat if you happen to have one, with moorings adjacent. The main pool is large with an interactive water feature plus a learner pool for kids and accessible changing facilities.
Open sessions are generalised so there's no inflatables or such like, but they do offer one to one swimming lessons and cater for private birthday parties.
The immediate area also offers scenic and fairly accessible riverside walks, tennis courts, miniature golf and a children's playground suitable for most 2 to 12 year olds, so there's plenty to fall back on if the weather changes too much for outdoor swimming and it's all good for a range of ages.
