About Highworth Recreation Centre
Highworth Recreation Centre is an impressively flexible day out! When the weather is warm enough both sides of the pool building cunningly retract opening onto sun terraces, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing family day out! When cooler, the pool is fully enclosed under a modern domed roof, providing a comfortable swimming environment for all. Bonus!
Pool activities include: Adult and junior swimming courses; Private one to one swimming lessons; School holiday intensive swimming courses; disability access sessions with their professional hoist equipment and trained staff; Aquafit sessions; Casual and Lane swimming sessions; Toddler Splash sessions (once a week) and their ever popular Wet 'n' Wild session with floats and aquatic play equipment!
And of course don't forget that even at its most basic swimming is great for fitness, confidence and family fun, but can also save their life one day, so keep at it, it's worth it!
There is also a Swim Clinic and Scuba Diving Club available and they also have a 3 metre diving board and a 1 metre springboard which are regularly scheduled for public use. Boinnngg!
Other sporting opportunities exist on site, including great inclusive Tap and Ballet classes on offer for kids, ask for details.
