Attraction Information

Colne Valley Museum is an 1850s revival exhibit and features a recreated period kitchen and other historical elements that add great atmosphere to the experience, so it's a pleasure with curious and imaginative kids.

Visit the Loom Chamber, Spinning and Cropping room to help them foray into textile history, and venture into the clog-maker's workshop with its full range of intriguing period tools.

There's usually something new to see in their Exhibition Room and there are often traditional spinning, weaving and clog-making demonstrations to watch!

A pleasant Children's Corner is tucked away in the Exhibition Room of the museum, with a variety of activities and traditional toys to occupy younger children and help break up the trip for fidgety ones!

Depending on your luck there might be some supervised activities to join in with such as painting, paper modelling, or story telling, or children can help themselves from the book case to read on the rag rug. All in all generally a lovely place to spend a wet Sunday with a small person!
