Summer Holidays at Wookey Hole
Wookey Hole’s Summer Holidays event brings together cave adventures, the new immersive cave projection experience, Dinosaur Valley, adventure golf, soft play, the 4D cinema and live family entertainment. During Somerset school holidays and selected weekends, families can also enjoy Wookey Hole Circus, including the summer show The Seaside Special.
The cave tour lasts around 30 to 40 minutes and takes families through one of the UK’s best-known cave systems. Expect uneven surfaces, wet floors and around 200 steps, so sensible footwear is recommended. The new immersive projection experience brings extra storytelling, light and atmosphere to the caves.
Your ticket covers much more than the caves. Families can also visit Dinosaur Valley, play Adventure Golf, watch the 4D cinema, explore the Mirror Maze and museum spaces, and enjoy indoor soft play. This makes Wookey Hole a strong all-weather day out, especially during the school holidays.
During Somerset school holidays and selected weekends, families can enjoy Wookey Hole Circus. For Summer 2026, the official summer show is The Seaside Special, a family-friendly circus performance inspired by classic British seaside entertainment. Shows are available daily during Somerset school holidays and weekends from 18 July to 2 September 2026, subject to the attraction’s schedule.
Peak season hours usually apply during Somerset school holidays and weekends from April, with first admission from 9.30am, last admission at 3.30pm and attractions closing at 5.00pm. Off-peak hours usually apply Monday to Friday outside school holidays, with first admission from 10am, last admission at 3pm and attractions closing at 4.30pm.
