Go Ape Margam is a high ropes adventure set within the magnificent grounds of Margam Country Park in Neath Port Talbot, South Wales. With 1,000 acres of parkland, coastal views and Wales's largest deer herd roaming the grounds, this is one of Go Ape's most spectacular locations.

The course features Treetop Challenge, Go Ape's original and most demanding high ropes experience, suitable for adventurers aged 10 and over. Obstacle-packed crossings and zip wires stretching up to 180 metres take you through the tree canopy, with the course regularly compared to a rollercoaster in the treetops.

The Tarzan Jump is a highlight for many visitors. Step from the platform into a thrilling freefall before swinging out into a giant cargo net. Reviews consistently highlight it as one of the most exhilarating moments on the course.

From the trees, the views are exceptional. On a clear day you can see across to Devon, Somerset, the Gower Peninsula and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. After your session, Margam Country Park has plenty more to explore, including the Pulpit viewpoint walk, a farm trail, picnic areas and Charlotte's Pantry Cafe near the visitor centre.

Important Information

Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your booked session to check in, complete your safety briefing and get fitted with the required equipment. Booking ahead is strongly recommended, particularly during weekends and school holidays.

Go Ape Margam is located within Margam Country Park, Neath Port Talbot, SA13 2TJ. Follow signs for Margam Country Park from the M4 at junction 38. Parking is available within the country park. Please note that Margam Country Park charges a separate parking fee on top of your Go Ape booking.

Treetop Challenge is suitable for adventurers aged 10 and over. Check Go Ape's latest height, weight and adult supervision requirements before booking.

Dogs are welcome within Margam Country Park and around the ground-level areas of the site, but they cannot join participants on the high ropes course. Bring a spectator to look after your dog during the activity.

Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed, secure shoes. Activities run in most weather conditions, so bring waterproof layers and wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy.
