Take your next family adventure into the trees at Go Ape Bracknell, set in the woodland of Swinley Forest near Reading and Windsor. This outdoor high ropes experience is a brilliant choice for older children, teenagers and adults who want to swap the usual day out for fresh air, big challenges and plenty of family bragging rights.
Your Treetop Challenge begins with a full safety briefing and harness fitting before you climb into the canopy. From there, you will tackle wobbly crossings, rope bridges, climbing obstacles, speedy zip lines and Go Ape's legendary Tarzan Swing. It is an energetic, confidence-building experience that puts your balance and nerve to the test while giving your group plenty to cheer about.
Take on the course at your own pace, encourage each other through the trickier sections and enjoy the feeling of completing a proper outdoor challenge together. Treetop Challenge is designed for participants aged 10 and over who are at least 1.4m tall, making it a great pick for families with older children and teens.
Younger adventurers can join the fun too. Treetop Adventure is an entry-level experience for children over 1m tall, while Treetop Adventure Plus adds more height, crossings and zip line thrills for children aged 6 and over who are at least 1.2m tall. Bracknell also offers Forest Segway sessions and Axe Throwing as separate activities for eligible groups.
Make a full day of it in Swinley Forest by exploring woodland trails, heading to The Look Out Discovery Centre or enjoying nearby cycling routes. Go Ape Bracknell is easy to reach from Reading, Farnborough, Maidenhead and Slough, just off the M3 and M4.
