Treetop Challenge is the main high ropes experience, with five sections of tree-to-tree crossings, tough obstacles and exhilarating zip wires. The action starts with a colossal 323-metre zip line, then builds towards an incredible final zip that is 45 metres high and 426 metres long.
For pure zip line thrills, choose the Zip Line Experience. This is home to Scotland’s longest dual zipline, making it ideal for adventurers aged 10 and over who want to skip the high ropes crossings and focus on the speed and scenery.
You can also add Axe Throwing for a competitive ground-level activity, suitable for groups and older children. After your adventure, explore the forest trails around The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, grab food or drinks at the cafe, or make the short journey to Loch Ard.

Important Information
- Go Ape Aberfoyle is located beside The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, around one mile outside Aberfoyle village on the A821 Trossachs Road. Follow the brown tourist signs for Go Ape, then walk uphill from the car park to the cabin.
- Parking is available at The Lodge visitor centre and is pay and display. You can pay by cash, card or the RingGo app.
- Treetop Challenge and the Zip Line Experience are suitable for ages 10 and over. Axe Throwing is for ages 12 and over. Check the latest height, weight and adult supervision requirements for your chosen activity before booking.
- Toilets are opposite the cabin, in the visitor centre and next to the forest course. The visitor centre also has accessible toilets, baby-changing facilities and a cafe serving hot food and drinks.
- Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Activities run in most weather conditions, so bring waterproof layers and clothing you do not mind getting muddy.
