    We often talk about Folly Farm as a great attraction for animal days out and farmyard fun. This time, however, it’s their awesome Pirate Adventure playground that put them on the list. Featuring two life-sized pirate ships, wooden fort and the legendary Black Bart’s Pirate Cove kids’ outdoor play area, with its iconic giant skull-shaped slide – your little buccaneers are in for lots of treasure-hunting shenanigans.

    If you and your kids love Beatrix Potter, Willows Activity Park is the place to go for outdoor play. This isn’t just any ordinary adventure playground near you, this is a Peter Rabbit adventure playground! With outdoor climbing frames, slides and rope walkways to explore at the Peter Rabbit Secret Treehouse and the Benjamin Bunny Treetop Adventure, your little ones will feel just as adventurous as Peter himself.     If you’re after a huge adventure playground near you, which also happens to be free to enter, Park View 4U Playing Fields in Lytham St Annes is the place to visit. This wonderful play area, boasting sand and water play features, zones for tots and teens, BMX track, skate ramps and more, is the result of a charity project designed to provide local families with an accessible space where kids can come out to play. We can definitely say it’s been a great success!

  8. Chatsworth House, Derbyshire

    The children’s playground area at Chatsworth House and Farmyard won’t leave you disappointed! There you’ll find all your kids’ favourite features, including a giant rope park, climbing walls, a trampoline, huge slides, zip wire and swings. Oh, and we’ve got another exciting fact to share – the playground is just one secret tunnel away from the farmyard…

  9. The Knockhatch Adventure Park, East Sussex

    If you live anywhere near Knockhatch Adventure Park, you’ve got an epic adventure playground near you! From zipping across a 70-metre dual zip wire, to coming face to face with the fearsome dragon at the giant wooden Dragon Castle – adventure is definitely on the cards.     At Bowood House and Gardens you’ll find a glorious wooden adventure playground, surrounded by 100 acres of beautiful parkland. From braving the heights of the Aerial Walkways to getting into the spirit of adventure at the Pirate Galleon, there’s plenty to spark your kids’ imagination. Designed for the under-12s, this play area is a great addition to your stately home family visit.
