Frontier Falls, Drayton Manor

Are you ready to journey to the time of cowboys, outlaws and frontier towns? The Wild West has come to Tamworth!

Drayton Manor’s new Wild West Land features an array of Western-themed attractions including Blasting Barrels (a Western twist on the absolute classic teacup ride), Sheriffs Showdown (a shootout attraction) and Accelerator (a rollercoaster with a big drop, twists, turns and high speeds! Did we mention you also go backwards?!)

Fancy a bit of a sit-down? Head to Falls Theatre for a 4D showing of Looney Tunes, featuring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Meep meep! Feeling brave? Then check out The Haunting and explore the desolate vicarage full of ghostly sightings and unexplained phenomena.

There are even daily Wild West shows that feature daring stunts, gun-slinging action and toe-tapping country music. Country fans rejoice!

Hyperia, Thorpe Park

Hold onto your horses! There’s a new tallest rollercoaster in the UK!

This brand-new coaster is sure to get your heart racing as you climb 236ft into the air before plummeting straight back down! But that’s not all, you’ll also be riding the longest rollercoaster at Thorpe Park, coming in at 995.4m long. Psstt… you’ll also experience 14.8 seconds of airtime (that’s more than any other rollercoaster in the UK). Hyperia also holds the record of the UK’s fastest ride – exceeding speeds of 80mph.

The Jolly Robin, Blackgang Chine

The UK’s oldest theme park is getting a new ride! The Jolly Robin will be the latest edition of the Blackgang Chine Park. Prepare to be whisked away on a journey through the heart of a legendary storm.

You’ll board the swinging ship and instantly become immersed in the chilling tale of a ghostly whaling ship, sunk by a giant whale! As the ship sways, you’ll actually feel like you are caught in the very storm that doomed the ship!

Vertigo, Adventure Island

Any fans of drop rides? Well, you’re in luck! Adventure Island has a brand new ride. Vertigo will be their biggest drop tower to date – coming in at a staggering 38 metres.

Strap in tight as you ascend to dizzying heights and take in the beautiful view of the city of Southend But don’t get too comfortable… you’ll have to hold on for dear life as you plummet straight back down!

This will be a must-ride of the summer!

Opening times vary, Adventure Island opens from 11am and will close at with 4pm, 6pm, 8pm or 10:30 pm (depending on the season)

Marble Madness, Pleasurewood Hills

Technically this ride is reopening this summer, but we are still super excited about it!

The family favourite, Marble Madness, was closed over the winter for a major refurbishment (including a major retheme!!). But don’t worry, the ride will still have all of the tummy-turning twists and turns. The steel wild mouse coaster reaches speeds of up to 28mph and has tight-winding tracks with plenty of sharp turns that take you by surprise.

We can’t wait to see what this coaster becomes.
