King Georges Playing Fields
Brentwood, EssexAbout King Georges Playing Fields
Amongst other things the under-titled King Georges Playing Fields features a really unique garden designed for the blind, with many specially selected flowering and non-flowering plants which appeal to senses other than sight. It's a fascinating stop and a sensory delight as well as a great chance to slip in some secret schooling!
There are formal gardens to roam and study which make lovely backdrops for family photos, lots of green space to run and play plus crazy golf, a skatepark and great children's adventure play area! You should be wearing padding on the skater equipment and the play area is best suited to between 3 and 10 years old.
They also have a permanent paddling pool for warmer days so remember to take towels and clothes etc. unless you want to share your own clothes (we've all been there)! Within the paddling pool area there are two paddling pools, the smallest being shallower therefore suitable for the younger child and the larger great for all ages to wet their whistle, so to speak!
Parkmobility allows those who have difficulty walking to borrow battery powered scooters free of charge in King George's Playing Fields.
