Beach Leisure Centre
Aberdeen, AberdeenshireAbout Beach Leisure Centre
The free-form leisure pool at the Beach Leisure Centre has fantastic water features including rapids, a whopping 4 flumes and a wave machine and more besides, so you can't fail to have a whale of a time, whatever age you're bringing!
The wave machine simulates waves of varying strength rolling into the beach from the sea and is definitely not to be missed if the kids haven't tried one before. The wave strength varies however so be sure to keep a close eye on the smalls if not holding on to them!
The rapids feature is fast and furious where the pool water is forced down a custom canyon in the pool to give you an almost white water river experience! This feature is best for confident swimmers, naturally.
Their 3 epic level flume slides are named The Pipeline, The Tube and The Wipeout: they vary in severity but are all loads of fun if you have the nerve! But if you don't, there's the Mini Flume is the main area which is a gentler version for those that want it.
Swim times and flumes sessions will vary within these so be sure to check the link for the timetables and turn up when what you want is open!
