Player Ready Truro offers virtual reality escape room experiences for groups of 2 to 6 players, with sessions lasting up to 1 hour including briefing and setup (45 to 50 minutes in-headset on average). Suitable for ages 7+ when accompanied by adults, or 12+ for independent players, the venue features multiple themed challenges ranging from easy to hard difficulty. Located on the second floor of Chiltern House in Truro, Cornwall, the centre has 8 PC VR stations and welcomes walk-ins subject to availability.
Nine different scenarios are available to choose from on arrival with staff guidance. House of Fear: Cursed Souls (medium difficulty, 1 to 4 players) challenges you to solve a brutal murder and free trapped souls from a haunted house filled with flickering lights and eerie whispers. Alice (hard, 2 to 6 players) takes you through Wonderland's twisted mazes to defeat the Queen of Hearts and save the realm. Mission Sigma (easy, 2 to 6 players) tasks you with defusing a nuclear warhead on a booby-trapped rooftop. Other scenarios include Survival (Pacific island plane crash), Sanctum (HP Lovecraft-inspired monastery investigation), The Prison (corrupt police frame-up breakout), Jungle Quest (portal to flying islands), Cyberpunk (22nd-century data heist), and Chernobyl (time-travel disaster investigation).
All experiences require a minimum of 2 players to start. The venue is opposite the ShelterBox building and Moorfield car park, with 5 free guest parking spaces available via the City Road entrance. Saturday opening hours run from 10am to 7pm, with extended availability during school holidays.
