  • Image Of Wickerman Rollercoaster

    Big rides for thrill seekers

Alton Towers is known for its major rollercoasters and larger-scale thrill attractions. If your group is visiting for the biggest rides first, arriving before 10am helps you get through the entrance and into the park ready for opening.

If you're heading to Alton Towers, don't miss Wicker Man - it's a top-rated thrill ride for teens and grown-ups. Families also love Gangsta Granny, the Skyride, and everything in CBeebies Land, including the brand new Bluey the Ride - the world's first Bluey junior coaster, open now for 2026.

  • Image Of Bluey Show At CBeebies Land

    Built for a full-day visit

This is not a quick half-day attraction. Between walking distances, queues, ride choice and food breaks, most families should plan for a full day on site.

  • Two guests splash out of a tube slide at Splash Landings Waterpark

Warm Indoor Lagoons, Thrilling Slides & Tropical Family Fun

Swap coasters for water rides: take on the Master Blaster water-coaster, race a friend on Rush ’n’ Rampage, and get drenched in Wacky Waterworks Treehouse (with Little Leak for toddlers). Warm up in the Bubbly Wubbly pool and indoor lagoons; when it’s open, head outside for Flash Floods cascades.

Note: For big kids and grown-ups, Master Blaster is the headline thrill. Younger families gravitate to Wacky Waterworks and Little Leak; Flash Floods is seasonal/subject to availability
