What Do I Need To Make Halloween Crafts Out Of Paper?
The great thing about many Halloween crafts is that you don’t need a long list of items to complete each craft. Many things can often be found around your house and are things you already have. It’s a good idea to start saving any toilet paper rolls, so that you can make lots of different types of creepy characters. Coloured paper in orange, green, black and white is handy to have and so is a permanent marker. You will also need sellotape, a glue stick and some googly eyes are a fun addition for your creations. Halloween Toilet Paper Roll Crafts

How To Make A Halloween Bat Out Of Paper
- Using sellotape, wrap your toilet roll up in black paper or if you prefer you could also use black paint.
- Make your bat’s wings by cutting out strips of black paper with scissors. Cut jagged edges in the paper, along the bottom. Use our photo as a guide to the jagged shape. Using sellotape, or glue dots, stick the wings on the back of the newly papered toilet roll from step 1.
- Bat fangs can be created by using white paper cut into points. These can then be stuck onto the base of the toilet roll to begin your bat’s face.
- For your bat’s eyes, use orange paper to cut 2 large circles. Afterwards add a pair of googly eyes. An alternative, if you have not got any googly eyes is to use a black marker pen to draw dots in the middle of the orange circles.
- Have fun with your Halloween bat!
How To Make a Halloween Ghost Out of Paper
- Wrap your toilet roll up in white paper, using sellotape or use white paint.
- Create a pair of dark, scary eyes for your ghost using black paper. Cut the paper into black circles and glue these to the front of your white toilet roll from step 1.
- For your ghost’s mouth, cut a smaller circle than the eyes with black paper and stick this onto the roll.
- You can add spooky, floating ghost arms if you like, by using strips of white paper with long finger shapes cut at the end.
- Why not take trick your new ghost friend trick or treating!
How Make A Halloween Witch Decoration Out Of Paper
- First choose the colour of your witch character. A green or light orange face is a good choice for this fun craft. Colour, paint or wrap the paper toilet roll in the colour of your choice.
- To make a witch hat, first cut black craft paper with scissors into a pointed hat shape. Then stick a thin piece of paper on the bottom to make the base of your witch hat. Now you can get creative with your hat design! Exciting! The choice of what to use is endless. For example you could use star shaped stickers or glitter to jazz it up or stick on some little sequins. Use tacky glue or sellotape to attach your spooktacular hat to the top of your toilet roll.
- Every good Halloween witch must have some scary hair! There are a few options for this which you might like to try. Pipe cleaners twisted and curled around the toilet roll would be a good idea or simply cut strips of orange paper to style around the face.
- Now time to draw a face on your witch. Position googly eyes below the hat and draw a mouth. Have you made a cute witch with a smile or does she have a sinister grin? The choice is yours!

Halloween Decorations made from Paper Plates
This is a really simple craft made from ordinary paper plates that your kids will love. We will show you how to create a paper pumpkin decoration or a paper plate with a spiderweb design.
How To Make A Halloween Paper Plate Pumpkin
- Paint or colour your paper plate orange.
- Using black paper and scissors cut out a design similar to one you would use when pumpkin carving a real pumpkin. Stick your design into the middle of the plate. This will give you your pumpkin face.
- Now make the pumpkin stem. Draw a stem shape on white paper and use colouring pencils or paint to shade in brown. Cut around your stem shape and attach at the top of your pumpkin plate.
- Your pumpkin plate is ready!
How To Make A Halloween Spiderweb From A Paper Plate
- Cut out the middle of your paper plate so that just the outer ring is remaining.
- Using a hole punch, place holes all around the plate ready for making a string web.
- To make your string web, thread white string through the holes in a crisscross design.
- To add a finishing touch to your spider web craft, place a selection of plastic spiders on top of your string web. Secure them with Sellotape so that they are balance on top just like a real life spider ready to catch its prey from the web!
