Pumpkin Picking at Reddish Vale Farm

A farm full of things to do, with the pumpkin patch as the reason you came. Entry to the Halloween Pumpkin Festival covers the farm itself, so the ticket buys the patch plus a nature trail, indoor and outdoor play, a role play area, a beach area, air bouncers, animal activities and small animal meet and learn sessions.

The Halloween side of it runs right through the festival: a Witch and Wizard Magic Show, roaming Halloween characters and a chance to meet Jack Skeleton, with the Carving Cavern and wand making set up on site. Photo opportunities are dotted around the patch.

Pumpkins themselves are sold separately from the ticket and priced by size and variety, so what you pay on top depends on what you pick. A handful of other things carry a charge as well: tractor rides, marshmallow toasting, the corn cannon, animal feeding and the fairground rides, which are £2.00 a ride. Bring a means of paying for extras rather than assuming the ticket covers everything.

Tickets are bought online in advance, and the early bird tickets for 2026 have already sold out, which is a fair signal to book rather than leave it late. Families here tend to stay three or four hours, so this is a day out rather than a stop on the way somewhere else. There is a gift shop on site and parking is free.

If the daytime festival does not suit, the farm also runs Moonlight Pumpkin Evenings after dark, when the pumpkin patch is lit up. That is a separate event with its own tickets.
