Took my twins to Twycross zoo today, heard mixed reviews but we gave it a try (can’t go wrong since kids go for £1 at the moment and get 12 months free returns) we arrived at 11am and managed to fit everything in the only animal we did not get to see was the tiger as we went 3 times but he wasn’t out (gives us a reason to go back ) we finished around 4ish, all the staff were really nice, only negative I would say is food is abit prices (but ain’t all the theme park and zoos)

Our Arrival & First Impressions

🦍

first impressions were good, queue to get in went down fast and we received a map, there a lot to look at so hard to know where to start, but we started with the meerkats and worked our way around from there.

Activities Breakdown

seeing the animals was really good, was only the tiger we never managed to see, we went to see him twice but each time a member of staff was in his home (looks like they were fixing stuff) staff were friendly, like most attractions food was kinda pricey, you get free water though and you can refill your bottles/cups whenever which I thought was good, the only negative I would say is the toilets are filthy.

    Highlight

My twins highlight was the giraffes, zebras and the splash pad

Food & Drink

food options were ok, we went to the restaurant which was at the beginning was mostly pizza and chips, I thought it was abit pricey for what it was, we had slushes which was nice, water is free and you get to fill up yourself.

There is a fish and chips place also but we never tried that and ice cream ect…

Money-Saving Tip

Recommend bringing your own snacks and picnic there is a lot of benches and food area where you can sit and eat
