Our Arrival & First Impressions

Our favourite place!

Arriving at the park, the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing! Walking up to the gates and seeing the iconic skyline of the Big One always gets your heart racing.

Getting through the entrance was smooth and efficient - a massive win when you have excited kids in tow. The staff were incredibly welcoming, full of classic Blackpool hospitality. Stepping inside, the park looked immaculate, and with the roar of the coasters overhead and the smell of fresh donuts in the air, we were hyped and ready for a massive day of rides!

Activities Breakdown

With two total thrill seekers, our day was packed with high-speed excitement from start to finish!

The Big Hits:

The absolute star of the day was the brand-new Aviktas-this massive Gyro Swing is officially Casper's favorite ride! Swinging 138 feet into the air over the Blackpool coastline gives you the most insane weightless airtime. We also smashed laps on ICON, which is incredibly smooth and fast, and took on the legendary Big One for that iconic 235-foot drop right next to the seafront.

Nickelodeon Land Fun:

We spent plenty of time exploring the 6-acre Nickelodeon Land, which both kids thoroughly enjoyed. It was a massive hit meeting the PAW Patrol characters and riding Dora’s World Voyage. But because Eden is a massive thrill seeker too, the real highlights here were the Blue Flyer and Nickelodeon Streak-fantastic wooden coasters that deliver proper drops and laughs for the whole family to ride together.

Family Favorites:

To break up the massive coaster laps, we hit Wallace & Gromit's Thrill-O-Matic, which is packed with pure British charm. The park’s layout made it incredibly easy to bounce between the giant steel tracks and the family zones without missing a beat!

Food & Drink

Since we spent the day chasing the biggest rushes, we skipped the traditional sit-down meals this time and went straight for the exclusive, themed treats!

We headed over to check out the brand-new merch and snacks dedicated to the park's latest massive attraction, and picked up the official Aviktas themed sweets. It is always brilliant when a park goes all-out on themed treats to match a new ride launch. They provided the perfect sugar kick to keep our energy levels up for another round of coaster laps, making it a fun, quick snack stop that completely fitted the vibe of our thrill-heavy day!

Money-Saving Tip

If you plan on visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach, our absolute top tip is to book your e-tickets online in advance rather than buying them at the gate on the day. Not only does booking ahead guarantee your entry, but it also secures a massive discount on the standard gate price, leaving you with plenty of extra cash to spend on those exclusive park snacks and themed sweets!

Negative

Could Be Better

  • CrossStrict Bag & Food Policies: The park has very strict rules regarding outside food and drink being brought past the gates, which can make things tricky for families trying to pack a picnic.
  • CrossWeather Dependability: Because of its coastal location, high winds or heavy rain can cause the tallest attractions to temporarily close, meaning you have to be highly flexible with your day.
