As soon as we arrived, we noticed how clean and well looked after the beach was. Even though it was a lovely day, it didn’t feel too busy, which made it feel really relaxed. We were also surprised by how stony it was, especially near the top of the beach, before reaching the sand closer to the sea.
Before we even reached the beach, there was plenty to see and do along the seafront. We passed a traditional amusement arcade, along with lots of seaside shops selling everything you might need for a day by the coast, from buckets and spades to ice creams and snacks. We also spotted the Lobster Pot Mini Golf, which looked like great fun for families, and took a stroll through Crescent Gardens, where you can enjoy lovely views overlooking the beach and coastline.

There were plenty of food options along the seafront. We enjoyed some delicious fish and chips from Inghams, just a short walk from Crescent Gardens, followed by fresh sugar doughnuts from the beachfront. There was a good choice overall, although many of the options were classic seaside treats and sweet snacks.
I always think fish and chips are a must when you go to a beach. However if you want to save money I would bring a bag full of your favourite foods to enjoy as the chips were a little on the expensive side.
Relatively clean Beach.
There was not any rides for children or much entertainment other than golf.
Too many sweet places and over priced
There was not many crowds & it was very spacious.
It was a lovely day.
Overall I believe it was good value for money.
Would I visit again! Yes I would. The beach was lovely and it was a great day out. I just think next time I would take my own food or buy from a store before heading down to the beach.
