Important Information
- Age and height: Treetop Challenge is for participants aged 10+ and at least 1.4 metres tall.
- Maximum weight: Participants must weigh no more than 130kg.
- Duration: Allow around 2 to 3 hours for the full experience, including the safety briefing.
- Supervision: Children aged 10 to 15 must be supervised on the course by a participating adult. One adult can supervise up to two children.
- Arrival time: Aim to arrive around 20 minutes before your booked time and check in at the Go Ape cabin.
- What to wear: Wear closed, sturdy shoes that cannot fall off. Sandals, flip-flops, Crocs, slip-on shoes and heels are not suitable. Wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy, cover your midriff for harness comfort and tie back long hair.
- Weather: The course operates in most weather conditions, but may close during thick ice, thunderstorms or high winds.
- Parking: Paid parking is available at Glentress Forest, with the Go Ape car park located beside the cabin.
- Facilities: Toilets are next to the Go Ape cabin. Accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities are available in the main hub area. There are two cafés in the forest.
- Accessibility: The course is built on a steep hillside and is not wheelchair accessible. Some forest paths may also be difficult for pushchairs.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome in Glentress Forest when kept under control, but cannot join participants on the course.
- Location: Go Ape Glentress Forest is near Peebles, just off the A72 and around 40 minutes south of Edinburgh.
