A Magical Day Out at Fairytale Farm

Hello to all the amazing families out there! This is Emma, a 35-year-old mum from Manchester. Last weekend, we decided to embark on a new adventure with my two little cherubs, Oscar (7) and Poppy (11), and guess where we headed? The enchanting Fairytale Farm in Oxfordshire! As we approached the entrance, the whimsical music and a beautiful signboard greeted us. Poppy’s eyes widened in excitement, and Oscar couldn’t stop jumping around, eager to dive into the fairytale world.

Our first stop was the Enchanted Walk. Guided by the colourful and detailed signposts, we strolled through interactive zones featuring our favourite fairy tales. Oscar especially loved the Talking Trees, while Poppy and I shared a moment at the magical mermaid garden.

Who knew we could get so up-close with animals in a fairytale setting? From guinea pigs to lambs, it was a petting paradise. Oscar had a giggle fest at the snorting pigs while Poppy made a new furry friend!

Oscar’s energy seemed limitless, especially when he discovered the adventure playground. Climbing frames, swings, slides – you name it, Fairytale Farm had it. Poppy, being the elder and slightly more reserved one, found solace in the calmer sensory zones with mesmerizing lights and sounds.

Poppy’s top pick was the ‘Dancing Water Fountains’, where we played a game of ‘dodge the water jet’. Oscar, on the other hand, was completely taken by the Jack and the Beanstalk story zone. He’s already decided he’s going to grow a beanstalk in our backyard!

After hours of exploring, our stomachs led us to the Beanstalk Cafe. The delightful aroma of freshly baked goods wafted towards us. With sandwiches, cakes, and fresh beverages on offer, our lunchtime was sorted.
