What to Expect...
Pumpkins R Us is unusual among UK pumpkin patches in that it is not on a farm. It is a pop up that sets up each October at Dallas Burston Polo Club on the A425 near Southam, and the growers behind it say they have been producing every size, colour and shape of pumpkin they can imagine for more than twenty years. For 2026 it opens on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, then runs daily from Friday 9 October through to Saturday 31 October.
The polo club setting is the reason to choose it. Parking is free and on tarmac rather than a wet field, and the site itself is flat with aluminium matting pathways laid through it, which the venue says makes it pushchair and wheelchair friendly. There are indoor as well as outdoor areas, and the toilets are proper indoor facilities rather than portaloos. If you have been put off pumpkin picking by mud and a long walk from a field car park, this is the format that solves it. The venue is still honest that, depending on the weather, there may be some wet or muddy patches, and it tells people to bring their wellies.
Alongside the picking there is a Halloween Shop stocking decorations and trick or treat supplies, an on site cafe serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, hot chocolate and marshmallows, and a fairground that is open day and night. Rides are priced separately and are not covered by the entry ticket.
The After Dark evenings are the other distinctive part. They start at 7pm on selected nights, carry all the same features as the daytime with what the venue calls extra special after dark spookiness, and mean the daytime site closes early at 6pm on those days. Dogs are welcome on leads. Entry is by pre-booked timed arrival slot, so pick your slot before you set off.
Event Highlights
A flat, matted, tarmac parked site
The patch is laid out at Dallas Burston Polo Club rather than in a field, with aluminium matting pathways through the site and free parking on tarmac. The venue describes itself as pushchair and wheelchair friendly with indoor toilets rather than portaloos, which makes it a realistic option for anyone who cannot manage rutted farmland.
After Dark evenings from 7pm
On selected nights the site reopens at 7pm with the same features as the daytime plus extra after dark atmosphere. Note the knock on effect: on those days the daytime site closes at 6pm rather than running late, so a late afternoon visit and an evening session are two separate things.
A fairground and a Halloween Shop on site
The fairground runs day and night, though rides are priced separately and are not covered by entry. The Halloween Shop sells decorations and trick or treat supplies, and the cafe does hot and cold drinks, snacks, hot chocolate and marshmallows, so this is a longer stop than a straight pick and go patch.
