Pumpkin Trail at Newton Court

Not a field of pumpkins to walk through, but an orchard with pumpkins hidden in it. The half-term event at this Herefordshire cider farm is built around a Pumpkin Trail through Knowl Orchard, where the pumpkins are tucked among the trees for families to find rather than laid out in rows to be picked over.

The setting does a lot of the work. Newton Court is a working cider farm near Leominster with its own orchards, a cider mill and a press, and autumn is the part of the year when cider making is actually happening on site, so there is something going on around the trail.

The trail runs over October half term, from 24 October to 1 November 2026, which takes in both weekends and the week between them. That leaves some flexibility over which day you come.

The farm keeps other things going through the year alongside the half-term event. Pizza Fridays are a regular fixture, a Harvest Feast is booked in for 3 October 2026, and Christmas Party Nights follow in December. The farm also took part in Craft Cider Week in September 2026, which gives a sense of how seriously the cider side of the business is taken.

One point to be aware of: the farm has not published session times or ticket prices for the Pumpkin Trail, so neither the cost nor the shape of a visit is clear from its own listings.
