Pumpkin Picking at Wroxham Barns

Entry to the pumpkin patch costs nothing, which changes the shape of a visit here. You can turn up, walk through thousands of pumpkins and gourds, buy one or two and leave, or you can make a half day of it with the rest of the site. Everything in the patch is grown at Wroxham Barns.

Pumpkins are priced individually and start at £2, so a family picking one each is not committing to much. There is an undercover carving area, which is the detail that saves an October visit when the weather turns, and the patch is dog friendly.

Two optional extras run alongside. A Spooky Maize Maze carries an additional charge, and arts and crafts are offered as a paid add-on. Beyond the patch itself, Wroxham Barns has a shopping village, food outlets and a junior farm, and the Adventure Farm and its attractions need a separate ticket bought on top of the free patch entry.

No booking requirement is stated for the pumpkin patch, so it suits a spur of the moment Saturday. The patch runs on two October weekends before opening daily for the half-term week, and it closes at 4pm, which is earlier than some people expect from a site of this size.
