What to Expect...
Rosebank sits in the Clyde Valley about twenty minutes from Glasgow and forty from Edinburgh, which makes this one of the easier patches to reach from either city. The pumpkin event runs under the farm's own Scottish Pumpkins name, opening on Saturday 3 October and carrying on to Saturday 31 October.
You pick your own pumpkin from the patch, and carving stations are set up on site so the mess stays at the farm rather than travelling home in the boot. The pumpkins themselves are bought on the day for an extra charge; the entry ticket does not cover them.
Sessions run during the day and on some nights across the run. Online booking is essential and the farm advises booking ahead rather than arriving on spec. General opening hours are not published, so the times available to you are shown at the point of booking.
Three dated extras are worth knowing about. A Date Night session runs on Saturday 24 October from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, with the site closing at 9pm. Yoga sessions are held in the patch on 10 and 15 October and are arranged separately by WhatsApp. A Guising Day closes the season on 31 October.

Carving stations set up at the patch
Carving happens at the farm rather than at your kitchen table, with stations set up for the job. It is a tidy way to get the scooping and the seeds out of the way before you drive home, and it means the pumpkin arrives finished rather than as a project for later in the week.
A Date Night session and yoga in the patch
Not everything here is aimed at small children. A Date Night session runs on Saturday 24 October from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, with the site closing at 9pm, and costs £12.95 per person without a pumpkin. Yoga sessions are held in the patch on 10 and 15 October and are booked separately by WhatsApp.
