Pumpkin Picking at Siam Hall

Will and Abbi have been running this patch since 2018, and it has stayed the simple version of the idea: free entry, no booking, and pumpkins picked straight from the field where they were grown. You borrow a wheelbarrow, walk the rows and pay for what you wheel back.

The crop covers all shapes and sizes, from big to small and white to orange, and everything is priced by size rather than by weight. Wash stations on site deal with the aftermath, with hand washing, a pumpkin wash and a boot wash before anyone gets back into the car.

Pop-up food and drink stalls run every day the patch is open, serving hot dogs, burgers, chips and strawberries and cream, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate alongside. There is also a picnic area and you are welcome to bring your own food, which is not always the case at pumpkin patches. Dogs are welcome too.

The patch is open from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon on its open days, and an hour or two is usually plenty. Staff wear orange coats or high visibility clothing, so there is always someone easy to spot if you need a hand finding something or getting a full barrow up the field.
