Pumpkin Picking at Over Farm

Price is where this one gets interesting. Pumpkins start at £1.50 for the smallest and climb all the way to £100 for the ginormous sumo pumpkins, with an average football sized one landing at around £3. The entry ticket does not include a pumpkin, so what you spend depends entirely on what you carry back to the car.

Entry tickets are dynamically priced, which in practice means the earlier you book the less you pay. The farm is clear that booking early is cheapest, that pick your own pumpkins is always very popular and that tickets go to the mailing list first, so leaving it to the week before is the expensive way to do it.

Babies go free, defined as children who are not yet confidently walking on their own. One carer goes free when accompanying a paying child or adult with a Nimbus Access Card carrying the +1 symbol. Dogs on leads are welcome at £1 each, and every dog gets a treat on arrival, with poo bags and water bowls available.

There is a car park and a coffee shop on site, and the festival runs every weekend from 3 October then every single day from 23 to 31 October, which leaves plenty of room to pick a quieter day.

Two other events sit alongside it. Pumpkins After Dark is a separate after dusk event on selected October dates, with live music, fire dancers and a tractor trailer ride, and Spookyard is the farm park's own Halloween festival, running from 24 October to 1 November 2026.
