What to Expect...
Free entry is the headline at this working farm between Cullompton and Honiton in mid Devon. You pay only for the pumpkins you carry away, which makes it an easy morning out if you are not sure how long small children will last in a field. There is no booking either, so you can simply turn up on an open day.
The farm says it has more pumpkin varieties than ever before, with fifteen to choose from across the patch. Wheelbarrows are provided, so children can load up their own haul rather than trailing behind an adult with a carrier bag. The ground is a working field, so wellies or sturdy boots are the sensible choice.
Away from the pumpkins there is a picnic area with free games and activities for children, and refreshments are served on every open day. Dogs are welcome, and there is a separate fenced dog area on site. The same farm runs a maize maze earlier in the season on this site, so it will already be familiar to some families.
Parking is free, plentiful and on hard standing, which means it does not churn into mud after a wet week. There is step-free disabled access directly into the pumpkin field, and both card and cash are accepted when you pay for what you have picked.

Parking is free and plentiful, and it sits on hard standing rather than a grass field, so it stays firm after rain. From there, step-free disabled access leads directly into the pumpkin field, and there is a picnic area with free games close by.
