Pumpkin Picking at Odds Farm Park

Every paying child picks one free small pumpkin from the farm's own homegrown patch, while stocks last, which is a rarer arrangement than it sounds. Extra pumpkins are available to buy at a small charge, and children who want to carve theirs can do it at the Craft Barn for a little more, leaving the mess behind rather than carrying it home in the boot.

The Pumpkin Festival comes in three parts. Pumpkin Weekends run on Saturdays and Sundays through October, half term opens daily from 24 October to 1 November, and two Pumpkin Family Nights take place on Saturday 10 and Saturday 24 October, running into the evening. The Show Barn hosts live character performances during half term week.

Admission covers a good deal beyond the pumpkins: the animal barn and animal activities, adventure play, the soft play barn, water play and tractor and trailer rides. Mini golf, mini rovers and go karts are on site too, so three or four hours is a realistic length for a visit.

Two practical points are worth knowing before you go. Carving finishes earlier than the farm does, so a late arrival can miss it altogether. And the farm closes on term-time Tuesdays from 6 October 2026 onwards, although it stays open right through half term week. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and the farm operates a lone visitor policy.
