Pumpkin Picking at Meopham PYO

No tickets, no timed slots, no event. This is straightforward pick your own in the field at Broomfield Farm, where you walk in, choose what you want and pay by weight at the end. For families who find ticketed Halloween days expensive or overwhelming, that is the whole appeal.

Pumpkins are published at 75p per kilo, and winter squash grows alongside them. Apples are pick your own during the same season, so there is more than one thing to fill a bag with. The wider picking year here runs from the middle of June through to the end of October, and the pumpkins are the last of it.

The patch opens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only through October, from mid morning to late afternoon. Entry to the farm is free and there is no need to book anything. Parking on site is free, and toilets and baby changing are open during picking hours.

Friendly dogs on short leads are welcome on the farm, which is less common than you might expect at pumpkin season. An hour or two covers it for most families, and because you pay for what you pick rather than for entry, a short visit never feels like a wasted ticket.
