Pumpkin Picking at Lobbs Farm Shop

A tractor and trailer does the work here. The ticket takes children from the farm shop down to the pumpkin field and back again, which for a lot of small visitors is the part they talk about afterwards, and the pumpkin of their choice from the hundreds growing there comes with it.

This is a ticketed event with timed slots rather than a field you wander into, so booking in advance is essential and places are limited. The ticket is bought per pumpkin-picking child, accompanying adults come at no charge, and every child needs at least one adult with them.

In the field there is a hay bale photo booth for family pictures, and the farm's ewes and lambs are there to look at while you are on site. Wellies are worth packing, because the pumpkin field is a working farm field and behaves like one after rain.

Afterwards the Farmhouse Kitchen Cafe is on the same site for lunch or cake, and every ticket comes with a 10% discount voucher for the family to use in the shop and the cafe, valid to the end of November 2026. Any pumpkins beyond the one included are bought separately from the farm shop. Lobbs sits at Heligan, just outside Mevagissey and St Austell, so it pairs neatly with a walk round the Lost Gardens if you want to make a day of it.
