Pumpkin Picking at Lichfield Maize Maze

More than 70 varieties grow in the field here, from tiny munchkins up to giant whoppers, and the picking is done the traditional way. You walk the rows, choose what you want and pay for it at the gift shop on the way out, so what you spend depends entirely on what you carry.

One ticket covers a good deal more than the patch. The main maze and the mini maze are both included, along with the Pumpkin House set up for family photographs, the play areas, the cafe and the gift shop. Everyone is handed a maze map, an activity card and stickers on the way in, and new for 2026 there are spooky maze games threaded through the route.

Play is the outdoor sort: a giant sandpit, straw bale towers, swingball and a mini tractor yard. The Field and Flower Cafe serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and ice creams, and you are welcome to bring a picnic instead.

The whole attraction is outdoors, so dress for the weather and wear footwear you do not mind getting muddy. Dogs cannot come onto the site, with registered guide dogs the exception. Booking ahead is strongly advised because most weekend dates sell out early, and if a busy field is difficult for someone in your family, the Quiet Time Sessions on Sunday 4 October and Friday 23 October have limited ticket numbers and an early entry window.
