Pumpkin Picking at Jolly Nice Farm Shop

Hundreds of pumpkins and squash sit waiting in the field beside the A419 at Frampton Mansell, and for 2026 the walk through them comes with a run of pop-up experiences included in the ticket price. Children can pick a hobby horse at the Hobby Horse Stables and ride a round of the jumping paddock, or try the coconut shy at the Village Fete, where giant vegetables and pin the tail on the pig also make an appearance.

The growing is the point, though. You wander the field, choose from hundreds of pumpkins and squash, and pick your own. Alongside the familiar carving pumpkins there are unusual squash and gourds to take home and decorate. Pumpkins are individually priced and paid for separately from the entry ticket, so you decide in the field how much you are spending.

The other pop-ups lean gently educational. A Milking Parlour has a life-size model Shorthorn cow that children can try milking, with an explanation of how milk gets from farm to fridge. A Grain Trailer covers harvest, grains and where the ingredients in a loaf of bread come from, and there are hens to meet in the Chicken Run. Marshmallows for the fire pit can be bought as you come in, and there is an Ice Cream Parlour on site.

This is an outdoor event on uneven ground, so bring boots and coats and expect accessibility to be limited in places. Booking online in advance costs less than paying at the gate and secures your place. Bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, so pick your date with care. The farmshop, cafe and bar share the same site if you want to make a morning of it.
