Pumpkin Picking at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm

The visit starts on a trailer rather than in the field. A haunted vintage tractor ride takes you out through the cyder orchards, and it is that ride, as much as the picking, that shapes the whole afternoon.

The tractor drops you at the pumpkin patch to explore and choose a pumpkin of your own. A pumpkin is part of what you have already paid for here, rather than an extra to settle at the till on the way out. Once everyone has picked, you ride back to the Rattler Bar to carve.

Carving happens at the bar with everything you need provided, and the farm clears up the mess afterwards, which is the part most kitchens at home dread. Adults who would rather not carry a pumpkin home are welcome to swap theirs for a pint of Rattler or Rattler Zero instead.

Healeys is a working Cornish cyder farm, the home of Rattler, with a bar and food on site, so there is somewhere to sit and eat once the carving is done. The Halloween event runs on selected dates through October rather than every day, and booking is online in advance through the farm itself, so settle on the date you want before you set off.
