Pumpkin Picking at Godstone Farm

Halloween here is a whole farm park day with a pumpkin patch inside it. The ticket covers full access to the farm for the day, and children pick their own pumpkin from the patch as part of that.

The Halloween programme is busier than most. The Great Halloween Traitor mystery trail runs through the event, there are spooky craft sessions, creepy crawlies and reptile sessions, a scarecrow maize, and Dinosaur Squeak appears at the farm over the course of the event.

Underneath all of that sits the ordinary farm park, which is plenty on its own: indoor soft play, the farm animals, the reptile house, jumping pillows, the Dinosaur Roar Trail, the adventure playground, sandpits, a pond walk, ride-on toys and Wiglet's Play Village. Families who have been before will recognise most of it, since the Halloween layer is added on top rather than swapped in.

Two things cost extra. Pumpkin carving is £5 and marshmallow toasting is £3.50, both paid on the day rather than bundled into admission, so decide in advance whether they are part of your visit.

The farm advises booking online for the best priced tickets. Under 1s go free, and carers aged 16 and over go free as well, which is generous enough among farm parks to be worth checking against your own group before you pay. With soft play and the reptile house under cover, a wet half-term day is still workable.
