What to Expect...

Crockford Bridge Farm is the rare pumpkin patch that is genuinely inside the M25 commute belt. It sits on New Haw Road at Addlestone, a mile from Byfleet and New Haw station, which makes it one of the closest proper field picking experiences to south west London. And it is field picking, not a display: you walk out into the growing fields and cut your own between 3 and 18 October 2026, before the crop moves indoors to the Pumpkin Boutique for the second half of the month.

That authenticity comes with rules, and they are the things people get caught out by. Dogs cannot enter the growing fields at all, on environmental health grounds, although dogs on leads are permitted in the sales and seating areas. Buggies may no longer be taken into the picking fields either, because they damage the irrigation, so bring a carrier if you have a baby. There are no lavatories in the picking fields themselves, and wheelchair access across the fields is described by the farm as challenging in autumn and winter or after heavy rainfall. Wellington boots are the farm's own recommendation whenever it has been wet.

Booking is essential at £7.50 per person aged one and over plus a booking fee, and there are no tickets on the door. Under ones need a free infant ticket. Pumpkins are paid for separately at the exit, with most of the farm's crops sold by weight. Use the farm field car park, not the garden centre one.

From 24 to 31 October the farm switches to its ticketed Wonderland Pumpkin Festival, a separate, pricier theatrical event with timed shows, so check which one you are booking.

Real field picking, one mile from a station

You walk into the growing fields and cut your own, rather than choosing from a laid out display. Addlestone sits inside the M25 belt with Byfleet and New Haw station a mile away, so this is one of the easiest authentic pumpkin fields to reach from south west London without a long drive.

Field picking runs to 18 October only

The picking window is tight. Fields are open from 3 to 18 October 2026, and after that the crop moves indoors to the on site Pumpkin Boutique for pre picked pumpkins. If you specifically want to pick your own from the ground, the first half of the month is the only chance.
