Pumpkin Picking at Conifox Adventure Park

Ten pounds a head covers the lot at Conifox: the pumpkin patch, two mazes, the outdoor adventure park and the car park. The Halloween Pumpkin Festival is a daytime event for the whole family, running on five dates in October, and the flat per-person price makes it straightforward to work out what a group will pay.

The Witches Labyrinth Maze and the Funhouse of Fear Maze are both part of the ticket, as are the fearsome photo opportunities set up around the event. Live music entertainment is new this year. Outdoor Adventure Park entry is included too, so children can carry on playing once the pumpkins have been chosen.

Two things to plan around. The indoor Activity Centre is not part of the festival ticket and has to be pre-booked separately. And the park no longer provides carving tables or tools on site, for customer safety, so the carving is a job for the kitchen table once you are home.

This is an all-weather event held outdoors, so dress for a Scottish October with proper clothing and footwear. Tickets are pre-booked only and cannot be bought when you arrive. Payment on site is by card alone, with food from vendors around the event and from the Conifox Cafe inside the Activity Centre. The event is accessible, though some surfaces are uneven, and anyone needing assistance is asked to come accompanied.
