Pumpkin Picking at Cockfields Farm Park

Every paying ticket here comes with a pumpkin to take home, which is worth knowing before you compare prices with other patches. The picking sits inside a working farm park on Lees New Road, so it is one part of a day that also takes in the Big Animal Barn, Cuddle Corner and the Reptile Room.

The Main Pumpkin Patch runs on selected dates from 3 October, and the farm has added brand-new props for 2026, an enchanting spooky walk-through and an all-new Halloween show. Tractor rides run across the site, and there are indoor and outdoor play areas including a giant bouncy pillow and an outdoor play park, so there is somewhere to go if the weather turns.

Term-time weekdays have their own quieter Mini Pumpkin Patch on 5 to 9, 12 to 16 and 19 to 23 October, and that ticket also includes one free pumpkin. The Pumpkin Patch After Dark takes place on 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 October. The farm describes it as a magical evening event rather than a scare event, suitable for children of all ages. Pumpkin Smashing follows as a separate event on 1 November.

Tickets are date-specific and prices change from day to day, so online booking in advance is needed for the date you want. One rule catches people out: adults must attend with a child, and a single adult arriving without one will be refused entry at the door. Under 1 tickets need proof of age such as a passport, birth certificate or red book.
