Pumpkin Picking at Churchfields Farm

Over 12,000 pumpkins went into the ground for this year's patch, which the farm describes as literally twice as big as its 2025 field. It sits on a fifth-generation family dairy farm at Salwarpe, just outside Droitwich, and the picking is done from the field itself.

Everyone who goes in needs a ticket, including adults, children and dogs, and the pumpkins are separate from it. They are individually priced from £3 depending on size, shape and variety, and they can only be bought inside the event, so a ticket is needed even if you have come for a single pumpkin.

The ticket does cover more than the rows. Autumn photo opportunities are set up around the site, and entry includes the food marquee and the marshmallow toasting area. Hot food, sweet treats and drinks are sold on site, with marshmallows charged separately, and only food and drink bought at Churchfields may be eaten there, so the packed lunch stays at home.

Two other events run alongside the daytime patch. Pumpkin Nights is new for 2026, an evening version of the field with live entertainment, booked separately, and a Fang-tastic Fun Farm event runs from 24 to 31 October with the maize maze now included in its ticket.

Ground conditions change with the weather, and the farm strongly recommends wellies or walking boots, since uneven or muddy ground can make access difficult after rain. There is a wheel and welly wash on site for the trip home.
