Pumpkin Picking at Cherry Hill Garden Centre

The Pumpkin Patch at Cherry Hill sits at the garden centre on Stokesley Road in Hemlington, which makes it a straightforward option if you want pumpkin picking without a drive out into the countryside. Picking runs from 3 October to 31 October 2026.

The ticket covers entry to the patch, a range of outdoor activities for children, photo opportunities and access to a designated pumpkin carving area. Carving kits can be bought on the day at an additional cost, so the pumpkin can be picked and carved in one visit rather than coming home to be dealt with later.

Pumpkins are not included in the ticket price and are charged separately by size, from £4 to £10. Entry prices can also vary between dates and sessions and are only confirmed once you have chosen yours, so the total is worth checking at the booking stage rather than working from the headline figure.

This is an outdoor event and the picking can get muddy, so it is worth dressing for it. The garden centre itself stays open around the event and has a cafe, which gives you somewhere warm to sit afterwards. Two other Halloween events run here on separate tickets, a Halloween Walk from 1 to 31 October and a Haunted Forest Trail from 10 to 31 October, and a Twilight Pumpkin Picking event is listed for 22 October.
