What to Expect...
Cattows Farm is a real Leicestershire fruit farm that turns itself over to Halloween for five weeks, and the pumpkin patch is the part it started with. The farm grows pumpkins on site at genuine scale, and it is the Magical Pumpkin Patch rather than a scare maze that anchors the visit. Cattows quotes over 100,000 pumpkins across the fields.
For 2026 the ticketing has changed, and it matters. Previous seasons sold a low entry price with attractions charged separately, which caught a lot of families out. This year Cattows has moved to a single Adventure Pass covering entry, the pumpkin patch, all seven premium attractions and parking, and it says explicitly that it did so after listening to feedback. The only thing still charged on top is the new Halloween Fun Fair, where rides incur additional charges.
What the pass covers: the Great Halloween Harvest Ride, the Zombie World Trail, Trick or Treat Street, a Halloween Roller Disco, the Lost World of Dinosaurs, Farmyard Golf and the Magical Pumpkin Patch. The roller disco, Zombie World and the harvest ride are new for 2026. Cattows also runs Halloween Farm After Dark every Saturday in October, opening late from 5pm, when the Haunted Woodlands opens and the pumpkin patch is lit up. The Haunted Woodlands runs only After Dark.
Entry is by timed arrival slot between 10:00 and 15:00, and the farm's Halloween dates sell out, so the slot you want is worth booking rather than assuming. Parking is free and included with every visit, and Cattows Farm itself has an on site restaurant and bar with a long standing afternoon tea service, which is unusual for a pumpkin patch and useful on a cold day.
A planning note: Cattows runs Halloween under a separate brand and separate website, thehalloweenfarm.co.uk, rather than its main farm site.
Event Highlights
One pass, seven attractions
For 2026 Cattows dropped the pay per attraction model. A single Adventure Pass from £14.99 covers farm entry, the Magical Pumpkin Patch, all seven premium attractions and free parking, so there is no choosing between the tractor ride and the trail at the gate. Fun fair rides are the one paid extra.
A genuinely huge pumpkin patch
Cattows grows pumpkins on site and quotes over 100,000 of them across the fields. It is a working fruit farm the rest of the year, so this is field grown picking rather than pumpkins trucked in and arranged on pallets, and the patch is the part the whole event grew out of.
After Dark on Saturdays
Every Saturday in October the farm stays open late from 5pm and changes character. The Haunted Woodlands opens, and it runs only after dark, alongside an After Dark tractor adventure, Zombie World and the pumpkin patch lit up at night. Better suited to older children than to toddlers.
