Pumpkin Picking at Beech House Farm

No ticket, no time slot, no booking form. You turn up at Beech House Farm, take a wheelbarrow and walk into ten acres of pick-your-own pumpkins, and the only money that changes hands is for the pumpkins you decide to keep. Entry is free and so is parking.

Ten acres gives a genuine range to choose from, with different varieties across the field and prices running from £2 to £12 depending on what you pick. Tractor-pulled trailer rides run on site as well, weather permitting, which tends to be the part small children talk about afterwards.

Beech House Farm Kitchen handles lunch, with sandwiches, burgers, pasties, jacket potatoes, cakes and treats, and it holds a 5-star food hygiene rating. Both cash and card are welcome, so there is no need to stop at a machine on the way.

The farm is back for its 2026 season, on weekends through the first half of October before opening every day for the final stretch of the month. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead at all times, which is not something every patch allows. The farm recommends bringing wellies, especially if it has been raining recently, and given that you are crossing a ten-acre field rather than a yard, that is advice worth taking.
