Pumpkin Picking at Avon Valley

Two ways to come away with a pumpkin here: pick your own from the patch, or browse the speciality market of pre-selected ones for anyone who would rather not trudge. Either way the pumpkin is paid for on top of the event entry ticket, which does not include one.

New for 2026 is the Big Boo Trail, running alongside the patch, and the Rival Games Bar, which carries an add-on fee rather than being included. There is an apple slingshot charged per play and cornholing set up in the patch itself, and a seasonal shop opens for the duration of the event.

The park sits on Pixash Lane at Keynsham, roughly midway between Bristol and Bath, so it is an easy enough trip from either city. Dogs are welcome, and the venue is direct about inviting visitors to bring the dog along to the patch.

Footwear matters. The venue advises boots or wellies, which tells you what the ground is likely to be doing by late October. Tickets should be booked in advance because the event does sell out, and the patch runs on 14 dates, the first three weekends of the month plus every day from 24 to 31 October.

Pumpkin Patch Nights is a separate evening event running from 9 to 31 October 2026, so if you were hoping to see the patch after dark, that is the one to look for rather than a late daytime slot.
