What to Expect...
Two decades of pumpkin growing sit behind this Suffolk field. Undley Farm Events was founded by Anthony Pooley on a third-generation family farm that grows its own pumpkins, maize and gourds, and the patch carries more than 60 varieties of pumpkin and gourd.
The maize maze is the other half of the day. The 2026 theme is The Creepy Coach, with a real double-decker bus standing in the maize as a lookout platform, and two separate spooky mazes cut into the crop, one short and one long, so a family can pick the length that suits the youngest walker.
Around those two draws are giant inflatables, face painting, a straw bale pyramid and seasonal craft stalls, with a range of refreshments sold on site. A SEN session runs from 9am to 10am on Saturday 17 October, ahead of general opening, for families who would rather come before the field fills up.
Site entry is free, but the free tickets are booked in advance through the farm. Nothing is scanned when you arrive; the ticketing simply lets the farm judge how many people to staff and cover for first aid on the day. One practical warning comes from the farm itself: indoor space is at a premium if it rains, so bring umbrellas rather than counting on shelter. The venue does not publish what pumpkins or the maze cost, so budget for both on the day.
Event Highlights
More than sixty varieties grown on the farm
The farm plants over 60 varieties of pumpkin and gourd, so the field holds far more than the standard orange carving pumpkin. It is a third-generation family farm growing its own pumpkins, maize and gourds, and the pumpkin patch and maize maze have run here for more than twenty years.
A double-decker bus in the maize maze
The 2026 maze is themed The Creepy Coach, and a real double-decker bus stands in the crop as a lookout platform. Two mazes are cut into the maize, one short and one long, so you can match the walk to how far small legs will go.
Free entry, booked ahead, and a quiet SEN hour
Entry to the site costs nothing, though free tickets are booked in advance so the farm can staff the day and cover first aid. Nothing is scanned at the gate. A SEN session runs from 9am to 10am on Saturday 17 October, before the field opens to everyone else.
