Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Sevington

This is a pumpkin field rather than a pumpkin display. The pumpkins at Sevington grow where you pick them, in a working field just outside Ashford, so you are walking the rows and choosing from the crop rather than picking over a pile laid out on grass.

Pumpkins are priced by size and there is no separate admission charge published, so what you pay is what you pick. Running alongside the picking is a Golden Pumpkin Hunt: find the gold pumpkin and you win a wheelbarrow of free pumpkins, while finding the silver pumpkin wins you the largest pumpkin free.

Come dressed for a field. The ground gets muddy, so wellies or sturdy footwear are the sensible choice, and it is worth bringing gloves and a bag or two for carrying pumpkins back. Toilets are on site and parking is free in the field next door.

Dogs are not allowed, with assistance dogs the exception, so make other arrangements if your dog usually comes along. Tickets and further information are handled through the farm's own Eventbrite listing, and refunds are available up to one day before the date you have booked. An hour or two is usually plenty, since the picking is the whole of the visit.
