What to Expect...
Entry costs nothing here. You pay for the pumpkins you pick and for nothing else, which makes this a stop rather than a day out, and an easy one to cut short if the rain comes in or the children lose interest.
It is a working farm, run alongside its sister businesses Rutland Poultry and Ketton Logs, so the setting is fields, farm track and farm buildings rather than a purpose-built events field. A fleet of wheelbarrows is available and you are welcome to bring your own. Toilet and hand wash facilities are on site, and the refreshments run to hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and cookies.
The car park has been expanded for this year, so there is plenty of space even on a busy weekend, and the turning is marked with big pumpkin signs before you reach it.
Outdoor footwear is worth bringing, particularly if it has been raining. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome, with owners asked to clear up any mess and use the bins provided. Smoking is not allowed near any of the farm buildings, and the farm asks visitors to be considerate and take their rubbish home. Cash, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all accepted.
Event Highlights
No entry fee, just pay for your pumpkins
Nobody pays to come in. You walk into the field, choose your pumpkins and pay for those alone, which means a twenty minute visit is not a wasted one and a large family is not an expensive one. Cash, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all taken.
Wheelbarrows, toilets and homemade cakes
A fleet of wheelbarrows is available, and you are welcome to bring your own instead. Toilet and hand wash facilities are on site, and the refreshments run to hot and cold drinks with homemade cakes and cookies, which is more than a free entry patch usually offers.
Dogs on leads are welcome
Well behaved dogs on leads can come round the patch with you, with owners asked to clear up any mess and use the bins provided. This is a working farm, run alongside Rutland Poultry and Ketton Logs, so smoking is not allowed anywhere near the farm buildings.
