Halloween Hoot at Hirsty's Family Fun Park

Halloween Hoot is a play park's take on the season rather than a farm opening a field, and the pricing reflects that: pumpkin picking and carving are folded into the entry ticket instead of being charged on top. You pick your pumpkin from the patch, then take it to the carving tent on site and work on it there.

Around that, the park's usual attractions are open. There is a maze to find your way around, the play areas, and crazy golf among the activities. It adds up to a day where the pumpkin is one part of the visit rather than the whole reason for coming.

Food is sold on site, with hot and cold drinks, seasonal treats and lunches including children's lunch boxes, though you are welcome to bring a picnic instead if you would rather. Dogs can come along as long as they are kept on a lead.

On tickets, children aged 3 to 16 pay the most and adults pay less, which is the opposite of most attractions and worth checking before you assume a price. Toddlers aged 1 and 2 have their own cheaper ticket. Booking is not required, so you can pay at the gate, but every ticket type costs less bought online in advance.
