Halloween at Pumpkin Palace, Mini Meadows Farm

The pumpkin does not come out of a muddy field here. Children choose theirs inside Pumpkin Palace, where the carving on offer is the mess-free sort, and every child also makes a wand that the resident witch activates with a little Halloween magic before it goes home.

Pumpkin Palace is one part of a wider farm visit rather than the whole of it, and its activities finish an hour before the farm itself shuts, so there is room to carve first and see the rest of the animals and play afterwards. Three arrival sessions are suggested, at 10am, midday and 2pm, and whichever you pick you can stay until the end of the day.

Carving and face painting are both optional extras rather than part of admission. Carving is charged per pumpkin, and face painting runs on 24 and 25 October, 31 October and 1 November only, with payment taken on arrival rather than added to your booking, so bring a way to pay for it on the day.

Every child who comes during the Halloween dates is given a free return ticket to use before 22 December 2026, which turns one October afternoon into two trips before Christmas. If a carving turns out well, the farm accepts competition entries through its social media pages.
